We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. We are developing a new site, and you can follow along with its development on GitHub. jQTouch
jQTouch is a jQuery library for creating Mobile WebKit web apps. It's functionality is currently comparable to iUI, though it utilizes native WebKit animations. There are plans to:
- Extend the types of animations available, including flip and slideUp/slideDown
- Add custom events for orientation changes and swipes
- Offer quick methods for image preloading
- Eventually including HTML5 manifest functionality
