We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. Rater Plugin - Ajax Star Rating
The existing star rating plugin for jQuery takes too much effort (client & server) so I wrote the jQuery Rater Plugin that should reduce the complexity of implementing an ajax rating scenario on the client side. The server side is easier as well since the markup doesn't change after a user has already rated. This plugin can also support multiple raters per page.
