We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. We are developing a new site, and you can follow along with its development on GitHub. This is a highly customizable jQuery Framework.

Including:

  • Utilities such as $(selector).toString(), $.isString()
  • Plugins such as window / popup window
  • Form Validation
  • Tabs
  • Bars
  • Templating System

You can merge all things together.

Just Another Tooltip

Tooltip based on the one made by Alen Grakalic (http://cssglobe.com/post/1695/easiest-tooltip-and-image-preview-using-jq...) with additional features:
* Dynamic tooltip modifications can be done using metadata (see the demo-metadata.htm file).
* Choose the tooltip direction (8 directions: n, ne, e, se, s, sw, w & nw).
* Tooltip content obtained from selected object attribute, a different object on the same page, or via ajax.
* Ajax calls can include jquery selectors to target specific page content.
* Screenshots of webpages can be obtained through Websnapr.com or from your own image.

Spitloot Tooltips

This is a very simple, very lightweight plug-in for creating tooltips. Spitloot Tooltips uses inline HTML that is hidden and uses it as the tooltip when called.

dreamyTip, a jQuery tooltip plugin

Tooltip for jQuery. You can have the tool tips appear when a user hovers over any element. The content of the tooltip comes from the 'title' attribute. At the moment you can can choose the basic effect that jQuery offer for animations without the UI library, swing and linear, the speed of the animation and add some callbaks to use when the tooltip appear and disappear too.
The idea for the future is that you will able to choose the event that fire the tooltip and others features like the tooltip orientation.

LDTT - super small tooltip

LDTT is a tooltip plugin for jQuery, focused on simplicity and compactness (less than 1k minified). Style is done entirely in css, and you can change positioning with paramters.

  • Use several different tooltip themes on one page
  • Be positioned up, down, left right and off axis
  • Delay the time before being shown
  • Fade in

Thesaurus Tooltip - in-text advertising system

This toolkit is the simplest way to create own in-text advertising system using IntelliTXT (IntelliImages/IntelliMedia) technology approach.

You need only to include on your site pages these java scripts and fill sample.csv with you terms and their descriptions (ads). Now when a user of your site hovers mouse cursor on a term from your list (sample.csv), he or she will get overlay (tooltip) with related definition. Notice this the script asks server for term description only when user hovers mouse on the term. Using DB data adapter, you have visits and clicks statistics gathered for the tooltips.

You can use this library to create portal news popup description, interactive reference book and son on as well.
