Plugins

The plugins site is currently in development.

We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. We are developing a new site, and you can follow along with its development on GitHub. For more information about this transition, including steps you can take as a plugin author to prepare, please read our post about what's going on.

jQuery urlInternal: Easily test URL internal-, external-, or fragment-ness

jQuery urlInternal allows you to easily test internal-, external-, or fragment-ness for any relative or absolute URL. Includes element filtering methods and pseudo-selectors.

LeaveNotice jQuery Plugin

LeaveNotice is a plug in to easily notify your users that they are leaving your website. This was developed with “official” type websites in mind (Government, money-processing, etc). Because of the nature of the information those sites house, it can be important to make sure users know that they are being linked to a site not under “official” jurisdiction.

jQuery URL Utils plugin: Query String, Fragment and more

This plugin has been superseded by both the jQuery BBQ plugin and the jQuery urlInternal plugins. Be sure to check those out, because they’re newer and way cooler! And also because this plugin is no longer getting any updates or support!

jQuery BBQ enables simple, yet powerful bookmarkable #hash history via a cross-browser window.onhashchange event. In addition, jQuery BBQ provides a full jQuery.deparam() method, along with both fragment and query string parse and merge utility methods.

jQuery urlInternal allows you to easily test internal-, external-, or fragment-ness for any relative or absolute URL. Includes element filtering methods and pseudo-selectors.

ActionScript Style External Script Loading / Importing

An ActionScript 3.0 ActionScript Style External Script Loading / Importing with a folder simulated NameSpace like ActionScript with the ability to add firebug console logging, onBefore, & onAfter handlers.

Extservice

jquery.extservice.js is a plugin that allows you to add embedded items from external services to a webpage easily and with a consistent syntax.

Currently supported services:

  • Digg (the “digg it” button)
  • Disqus (the forum thread for your webpage)
  • Delicious (the blog badge)
  • Google Analytics (the tracking code)

$.externalify

This is a very simple plugin that allows you to quickly apply classes and rel parameters to all external links on your page.

By default the plugin will also open any external links in a new window.
