We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. We are developing a new site, and you can follow along with its development on GitHub. carouSlide is an easy-to-implement, flexible yet powerful jQuery plugin that allows you to create a wide range of different carousel and slideshow implentations, from a small and semantic list of HTML content.

Some of its optional features include:

  • Three types of animation: fade, slide vertically and slide horizontally
  • Back/Next controls
  • Infinite horizontal scrolling
  • Timed/Automatic animations (including play/pause button)
  • Hover activation on navigation
  • Optional use of Easing plugin for animations
  • Adjustable animation timings
  • 9Kb (minified) file size

Horizontal Box Slider

A very tiny (≈2KB minified) carousel control.

Why?

Horizontal Box Slider is using native scrolling. There are a lot of “carousels”, but none of them is using it.

Barousel

Barousel is a jQuery plugin to easily generate simple carousels where each slide is defined by an image + any type of related content.

Barousel comes with his cousin Thslide, which generate sliding lists.

Both plugins can be combined to create a nice slideshow.

Billy: an Elegant Carousel Plugin

Out of the box, billy is a basic scrolling carousel which can be implemented very easily. A person with little knowledge of either html or javascript can get billy working on a page within a few minutes.

Billy was created to rely on html rather than javascript. Once its been called on the page, it configures its self based on the html it can find. An example being; if you add an empty unlined list to your page with the id #billy_indicators, billy is smart enough to find the empty list and use it to display slide indicators for the carousel.

This passive configuration means it only takes one line of javascript to implement a basic carousel on any webpage, and as much html as you feel necessary. Billy also has many configurable features built in which allow for many different applications... See the examples for more info.

Tiny Carousel

What is it?

Tiny Carousel is a lightweight Jquery based carousel for sliding html based content.

Features

  • Can slide vertical or horizontal
  • Supports navigation by button or paging
  • Animation time can be set in milliseconds or to 'instant'
  • Number of block to move at a time can be set
  • A interval can be set to slide automaticaly every given milliseconds
  • Easy customizable
  • Lightweight its only 100 lines of code. mimified the size is 2,33 kb

3D Cloud Carousel

This is a fast and cross-browser implementation of a 3d carousel - looks very nice, more like a Flash implementation. It can create dynamic reflections underneath the carousel items, is accessible and degrades nicely without JavaScript. Easy to use as an unobtrusive plugin with lots of options. 3D Waterwheel Image Carousel

This carousel will take a list of any number of images and rotate them out in either a vertical or horizontal fashion, cascading in with a nice simulated 3D effect. Currently only works with images that are the same dimensions. Many options to customize how it operates and looks. View my website for demonstrations and more.

3D Feature Image Carousel

This plugin rotates images in a three dimensional (simulated) carousel. Optionally, all images can have a description element attached to them that pops up on an overlay whenever that image rotates to the center.
