We've been looking to provide a higher-quality, spam-free experience at the plugins site for some time, and a major error on our part forced us to shut down the current site before we could put the new one in place. We are developing a new site, and you can follow along with its development on GitHub. jQuery Growl 1.0.1
This is the first 'stable' release of jQuery Growl, and with it comes the ability to 'close' a notification using an anchor in the notice template.
An example of this can be seen on the demo page.
Also, James over at Honest Illusion has written up some slightly more verbose documentation and provided it to the community.
