Hi. I tried your plugin in two browsers. It works really well in Firefox 3.0.1. Safari 3.1.2 breaks it though. I tried it both in your demo page and a test page of my own, both with the last version of Jquery 1.2.6.
I am wondering if there is a workaround for Safari? Am I doing something wrong? Does this plugin support Safari?

I can confirm that. I tried it on IE, Safari, Opera and Chrome. Autogrow currently works only in Firefox.
Autogrow is very great (especially in combination with jeditable: http://www.appelsiini.net/2008/4/autogrow-textarea-for-jeditable), but for me it must work on other browser too, so please, please fix that.

I can also confirm the problem above.
In fact, the plugin doesn't work in those platforms in jQuery 1.2.6; it would work if you use jQuery 1.2.2 as shown in its demo.

Sorry -- I don't get notified about any of these messages via e-mail, unfortunately. I am going to take another look at my plugin and apply a few patches people have sent me as well as do a test with all of the latest (jQuery 1.3 and latest browser versions)

I have no idea about the Safari issues, but I saw others mention IE issues. So far, this has been working well for me on IE7 with two patches I had to make:
1) I had to change the call to "$.browser" to be "jQuery.browser" - That may not be an IE issue...it's probably because I am using jQuery.noConflict (and also prototype.js).
2) The checkExpand method calls this.dummy.css with a number of properties. The 'padding' property is causing an "invalid argument" error of IE7. I changed it to do 'padding-top', 'padding-left', 'padding-right', and 'padding-bottom' each individually instead.
Now it's working great for me on IE7.
